Timber
Engineering
L&L
Installations have a long and successful history in the
application of modern Timber Engineering techniques to
'in ground' and 'out of ground' structures. With new
materials, timber treatment processes and methodology,
Timber Structures can now take the place of many
essential access ways previously only able to meet
building regulations by designing and constructing in
steel frame or brick and stone. Timber access structures
are normally able to provide a significant installed cost
saving over other types of build and all timber used is
environmentally friendly and sourced entirely from a
certified FSC/PEFC timber processor.
L&
L Installations are able to carry out site surveys of
structure requirements, design the structure, source the
required materials, vet the certification process,
produce the required drawings and provide third party
Professional Indemnity Insurance for the design elements.
The guaranteed life of installed timber structures in
ground ( Hazard Class 4 ) is now normally extended for
between 15 and 30 years, depending upon application, is
safe with new biocide products and can provide an
expected life of up to 40 years without significant
maintenance.
